My Spoonie Sisters
Being Each Other’s Lifeline
Do you ever feel like you're drowning in the midst of life's challenges? In this heartfelt mini-episode, I, Gracefully Jen, reflect on the importance of recognizing when our Spoonie Sisters are struggling and how vital it is to be that supportive lifeline for one another. We all wear masks to navigate our daily lives, but it's crucial to see beyond those facades and extend a helping hand, especially when the burdens become too much to bear.
This episode also highlights the "Cards 2 Warriors" program, where a simple card can offer immense encouragement to those fighting their battles. Join our community efforts to uplift and support each other, ensuring no one feels alone in their struggles. Let's remember to check on our friends and ensure everyone is coming up for air in these turbulent waters we call life. Until next time, keep your spoon close and your hearts open.

Hi, my Spoonie Sisters. It's your host, gracefully, jen, and today I just want to talk to you about something important. Sometimes we feel like we are drowning, even in a sea of people. Sometimes the smile is fake, the laughter is forced, the tears are held back and it feels like we're falling apart in front of everyone's eyes. When you're submerged for too long, who keeps a watchful eye, ready to notice when you're struggling and dive in to help you when you're too fatigued to navigate life's waters alone? Who are the ones that see you, that really see you for who you are? Who are the people that would do that for you? And can someone count on you to be that person that would go looking and notice when they are under too long, diving in to support them when they are all out of fight and fuel to swim in these turbulent waters we call life Again? When you are submerged for too long, who are the ones that keep a watchful eye? They're ready to notice when you're struggling and dive in to lift you up and when you're too fatigued to navigate life's waters alone.
Speaker 1:And I want to challenge you make sure you're that person for someone else, because it's crucial. We all need it and at the end of the day, you know a lot of these relationships and these friendships we build. You know several of our Spoonie sisters. We are friends over on Instagram and I want to challenge you to remember that, whatever's going on in your life, whatever's going on in my life, we're only seeing a small glimpse, a fraction of what a person's life is like and what a day is like. So be sure to give each other grace, slow down, take a moment, recognize that we all come together with a purpose. But again, we only see that little glimpse, that little tiny piece. But again we only see that little glimpse, that little tiny piece. So I challenge you go find the person you haven't heard from recently. Go check on them, because you never know what's going on with them right now. You know I've talked to several of our sprungy sisters lately and there are a lot of battles going on, whether it be, you know, a flare, a medication that's just not working anymore, an infection. There's so many things going on.
Speaker 1:So check in on your sisters, make sure they're okay, make sure they're coming back up for air, lift them up out of that water, encourage them, listen to them, because at the end of the day you could Encourage them, listen to them, because, at the end of the day, you could be the only one listening to them. So I don't know, I don't really have much more for you today. I have a couple episodes that are going to be coming out soon, but I wanted to kind of slow down and give you these mini episodes to kind of bring us back, round us up and take a break, and for me to also catch up, because I've had a lot of life going on recently, and I'm thankful for each one of you that have reached out to me to make sure I'm still coming up for air, that I'm still swimming in the water okay, that I'm not drowning. I'm grateful you, but I'm also grateful I have the opportunity to be that for so many others as well. This is also your friendly reminder.
Speaker 1:There are several options to get involved in our community, and so let's talk about a couple of those I want to bring up. There's one called Cards to Warriors, and they're always looking for volunteers, looking for volunteers to send cards to people. There are people that are on these lists long-term, and then there's also people on these lists that just really need that extra encouragement right now. So reach out to them and get involved however you can, because a card can really make a difference in a person's life. All right, your takeaway today should be come up for air and check on your sisters. Until next time, don't forget your spoon.
